One of my favourite sounds to hear is water droplets sliding off the end of a wooden canoe paddle and bouncing onto the surface of the water. When everything else is so silent that droplets are all you hear, life is good

Moose are such homely looking creatures - the ones in the Bowron are often not bothered by you sitting in a canoe just meet feet from them as they graze for breakfast. To me they look like a really large camel that lives in the water.
Getting up at early and on the water by the crack of dawn is the key to having amazing moose sightings - something my groups cringe at when the pitch comes to them but when the reward is there they are often thankful for that really early wake up call
